I will be driving up to Kuantan from Spore over the weekend. Was wondering how was the flood situation in Malaysia? Is it advisable to go by this route -> JB -- kota tinggi -- rompin -- pekan -- kuantan? OR safer to go by 2nd link -- ayer hitam -- keluang -- mersing -- rompin -- pekan -- kuantan. Anyone can advise pls?

I don't know, the weather can't be exactly predicted, I suggest you ride a plane and you can reach there faster.

Both suggested way is not advisable.

I suggest u used the JB-KL highway.. & used the Karak highway to Kuantan.. (KL-Kuantan Highway)..

Situation of flood in Johor district is unpredictable.
You may not wish to be stuck on the way to kuantan.
Better not take a risk,

At this moment, to avoid any circumtances, just use JB-KL-Gombak-Karak-East Coast Hiway-Kuantan. Far in distance, but peace in mind...plus lots of tolls charges. Total might be around Rm (42+5+3+19.60)X 2. Way to go!!

don't go to kota tinggi. that area not yet clear. if you like to use country road, you may go by 2nd link -- ayer keroh-- alor gajar-- tampin-- kuala pilah-- bahau-- karak -- kuantan.
