Myspace: When I do a filtered friend search, why are "Within x miles of this postcode" options unavailable?

I'm logged in, but can't select this option. Is it something to do with US/UK differences? Thanks

It is to further more filter your search. Lets say you want to find someone called Lisa, and lisa lives in a big big city. And lisa lives in the postcode 94109, and you live in the postcode 94132, and you know that you live lets say......3 miles away from her. You can set it filter all the lisa's within 5 miles radius of you, because there is a high possiblity that there are much much more lisa's in the city.
