You need to learn to identify the signs - if you have them that is. I always know because my breasts get really tender and I may become a little constipated a day before they actually come. You may even get a sore lower back and some mild tummy cramps. I never have to look at the calendar.

If you are at school, just wear a panty liner. They are not noticable and they are so thin that you hardly know you are wearing them. They also protect your underwear from stains etc.

Your cycle should become regular over time (hopefully). I had had my period for 10 or so years before they became regular. As for the pill - only if you need to. It is not always the best solution.

Sometimes you might feel a little cranky, or extra tired, or lethargic or all of the above. You might even get a pimples on your face you usually don't have, or you might get a burst of energy. I hate to break this to you but it sucks to be a women when it comes to this. Once you get older it will even out. I have an IUD so i don't get my period anymore & I'm only 20 years old. I guess if your parents/ you are ok with birth control, try that. I haven't had my period in a year!!

All girls and women have this problem. Especially those that aren't regular, there is no way of knowing. The only alternative is to go on birth control pills, but those can really mess you up.
