Mankind are more likely to destroy the planet before something like that. Nuclear war or global warming leading to mega tsunamis, adverse weather conditions and major floods.

Hello,

(ANS) No! I dont and the reason I dont waste my time worry about a comet hiting the earth is because if or when it happens there WONT be anything anyone can do about it. If the comet is a large object i.e. several miles across.

If it impacts the earth it will do catastrophic damage and it will happen so fast nobody will be able to prevent it, not NASA, not the military even if we had good warning of its collision course (we just dont have the science or technology yet to defend oursleves for certain).

**in other words lifes far to short to be worry about this, there are more immediate matters that concern me.

Regards
IR

If its going to happen and if there's nothing you can do about, all you can do is live life to the full in the meantime.

Comets can be easily seen, but one of the last near miss asteroids was only spotted as it sped away from us!

Why worry about,it if it does destroy the earth then everything will go with it, we will all be vapourised or whatever and become nothing again. If it doesn't happen we will die and become nothing again, so look on the bright side, don't think morbidly, enjoy that which is given to you. Life and the capacity to live it.

I have lost hours of valuable sleep worrying about it.. NOT... what is the point of worrying about something we have no control over. global warming/cooling is far more likely to cause serious issues to human kind than any foreign body from outa space colliding with us, therefore concentrate on using less pressurised deodorant in a morning and leave the lights off when you are having sex, that way you are less likely to scare your partner and contributing to saving the world at the same time, bonus :)

There is no point in worrying about things over which you have no control. If it's going to happen then it will happen. Like death.

However, what makes life tough is realising that we have more control than we think. We must not be apathetic about what a difference we can make.

I try not to worry about things over which I have no control - there's enough worries that I can control on planet earth to think about!

I do wonder though how long this world will last.

Its all just end of the world stuff so we can watch more documentaries on BBC2 and feel superior to all those that didn’t see the program.
I’m looking forward to a bit of global warming, Just think hot summers and mild winters.

I am much too busy worrying about terrorism.

Surely the news would not put so much valuable airtime on this issue if the odds of me being killed in a terror attack and the Earth being wiped out are approximately the same.
