I asked the same question!I had mine done for 4 years,and was constanty getting infections....so out they came.Today (I took them out over a year ago) I still have small indentions that you can see if you look very closely.When my nipples are hard you cant see them at all.I reccomend playing with themas they are healing to even out the surface.This is what I did,and was told by a friend.They may become more sensitive than before you had them done or even while you had them in,thats what happend to me also.So basically,if you want them out go ahead,they will not be the exact same as before,but they won't look abnormal either!Good luck!

The scar tissue will always be there, but if you just took them out, you can continue doing sea salt soaks to help it go down some more. If it has already closed up, you're outta luck. My husband took his out about four years ago and you can still see the scarring pretty badly and they are especially noticeable when they nipples are hard.

probably not in your lifetime.. someone i know had them and after many years still have indentions in them and well doesnt look like they are going nowhere..
