The number or band size is more about estimating the size of the rib cage and the letter is the cup size, which actually determines the size of the breasts.

For example, if a woman appears to have a small ribcage and large breasts, she may be a 32D. On the other hand, if she has a large rib cage and smaller breasts, she may be a 38B.

Ultimately, the band size and cup size should add up to the bust measurement. Each cup size refers to a number of inches bigger than the band size.

AA cup = same as the band size
A cup = 1 inch bigger than the band size
B cup = 2 inches bigger than the band size
C cup = 3 inches bigger than the band size
D cup = 4 inches bigger than the band size
DD cup = 5 inches bigger than the band size.

So if you think a woman is probably 36 inches around her bust, then you can safely assume, she is probably one of the following sizes; 30DDD, 32D, 34B or 36AA. All you have to do is figure out the proportion of her breast tissue to the size of her ribcage.

You cant tell by just looking at it, you have to be measured and checked by a trained assistant at a boutique or something.

I call it experience, you can ask my wife. I have been a fan of large BREASTS (D CUP+) for as long as I can remember.

Remember the song: I'm a GIRL WATCHER, or maybe that was before your time?
