I bought a wallpaper cutting tool (think of a pizza cutter but smaller and alot sharper) and tested the sharpness on the box it came in, it cut through that and about 1 inch of the leather suite the box was leaning on - a very silly mistake.
Its a perfect cut and im sure i can glue it together. Someone suggested finding the offcut of leather on the suite and poking it through the hole, then glueing the cut together with 'leather glue'.
Has anyone any ideas if this is the right way of doing this and where i can get 'leather glue'.
Thanks in advance.

Leather glue is flexible and this is important otherwise the area will go hard.

Repairs on leather are always best left to leather technicians.
If the cut has gone right through the leather then it is best dealt with by a leather technician. If you use a spare piece of leather it will always be obvious and is still quite tricky to do.

If you are in the UK LTT have leather technicians throoughout the country who can do this work.

Like humans, hamsters are great at healing wounds and cuts, but also like humans, they can make them worse. Wrap your hamster in something CLEAN, and DO NOT use tissue paper as the blood will make it soggy and it will stick to the wound. Also, if you are worried about your hamster making worse by moving around too much and splitting the cut, them take out EVERYTHING in it's home, lower the water bottle so your hamster doesn't have to stretch to get a drink, and just tip the food onto the floor of your hamsters home so he doesn't have to clamber up a mountainous bowl to eat. (Keep the bedding in the cage though, so your hamster is comfy.) And if you are feeling REALLY cautious, then you could clean out your hamsters cage to get rid of any harmful germs that are lurking in the soiled bedding. And if you are still worried, then take your hamster to the vets. Good luck :) xx

A good strong glue for gluing fabrics is called "fabri-tac". It works on leather also. It is clear and permanent. And, it will hold FOREVER!! I once put a hole in a sofa cushion and used a matching piece of fabric to place over it. It stuck soooooo well. We sat on it for years after that and it never did come apart. Good luck. Oh, you can get this glue at JoAnns, Hobby Lobby, Walmart.

You can find leather glue at most arts and crafts shops or Hobbycraft might be the best place.

All shoe repair shops have glue, will also have little scraps of leather. The glue they use beats any other I have ever tried.
