I have tried hairspray, bleach, alcohol, nail polish remover, eucalyptus oil, WD40 etc. My daughter is 3 and she copied and drew all over her other doll for which we told her off. I didn't realise at the time she was just copying what someone else had done and now I want to get the marker out of her doll so that it isn't there as a reminder. Someone wrote her name but mis-spelled it to make it even worse! Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you!

If the doll is vinyl, use OXY 10 (the zit cream) you can use generic, but just make sure you buy the kind with 10% medication. Apply it to the mark and put the doll in a sunny spot. Remove it and reapply it daily until the mark is gone, this may take several days to a week or so depending upon how dark the mark is. Be careful not to apply it to painted areas like lips or eyebrows because it will remove those too. This is a tried and true method that many doll collectors use.

If it's vinyl/plastic, I'd try a Magic Eraser. I'd test it first to make sure it won't discolor/ruin the doll. If it seems ok, then try rubbing it very lightly to see if the marker comes off. Hopefully this works. Good luck!

what is her doll made out of ?

If it is made out of plastic type material ..you could look up the method and material used for reborn dolls....as I understand it they strip all the color off the doll before replacing it with their own......maybe the stripper they use would work on the marker...

If it is cloth....I really don't know...I have always had good luck with hairspray.........my husband always using something called grease lightening...on everything he swears by it....you could try it....

I am sorry I couldn't be more help.........
