I am trying to figure out how eciad stacks up in the art world. Is it well recognized by profesionals. Are its programs worth the cost? What are the alums opinions of there experience. Is it just as good as pratt, uarts, calarts,or artcenter or is it a waste of time.
Thanks 4 any answers...

Name me five artists from Emily Carr that ever made the arts world spellbound for five minutes? tell me how many schools can bring out the creativity that already lies within a fertile imagination?obviously only you can do that. What schools or art galleries can honestly critique your work? The ultimate judge is society they decide what they consider art.

Production lines are fine for the automotive industry, in the world of art assembly lines are not applicable!

I'd say it's a 'good' school, but it really depends on your individual needs as a student. I've found there is virtually no prejudice in the art world about which schools are good/bad--your reputation will have more to do with your portfolio and exhibition record. (And do you really want to associate with an employer or grad school who is snooty enough to decide which school is worthwhile and which isn't?) Visit as many schools as you can and find one that suits your personal art philosophy and style--try to meet some of the teachers in your field and research their work.
