Both are good and reliable.
Transtar is super-deluxe and accordingly costs more. There is at present only one pick-up point and is therefore somewhat less convenient. You can reach them by calling 603-21411771. Adanced booking is always safer as each coach seats only 18. However, because of its higher cost, walk-ins are seldom disappointed especially during week days.
Aeroline is cheaper than Transtar and can be reached by calling 603-62588800 for reservations. However, because of more frequencies, starting from 0730, walk-ins are seldom disappointed and more so during weekdays. Aeroline is very convenient in that it departs from three points - one city and two suburbs. Thus, depending on where you are, you can pick your own departure point. Aeroline uses double decker coaches.
Both the bus companies provide refreshments and snacks and take about the same amount of time, just under 5 hours, to reach the Lion City.
Be informed too that there are many other options if long-distance coaches are your choice of travel. But these two you have named are among the best.
