If you are saying that you go into your own little world with the remote and control the channels without giving her a chance to view something of her interest. It seems normal. Maybe your wife shoudl just get up and leave you the remote, find something more interesting to do. Maybe your wife should get a T.V. just for her w/remote.

I'm not sure that's what she meant. Maybe she meant that you're remote and controlling to those around you when holding that remote control. I'd suggest paying closer attention to your attitude or the tone of voice you use with those around you when having the remote.
