Recently i have taken up reading as a hobby to kill time during working hours when i have nothing to do (I work the graveyard shift).
To give u an idea what i like to read...recent books i read are.

2.) Marley and Me by John Grogan
3.) The Chronicle series (dragonlance) by Margaret Weis and
Tracy Hickman
4.) Final Note from a Great Island by Neil Humpreys

The best books EVER are by R.A. Salvatore!!!! Start with Legend of Drizzt series (13 books), Then either The Sellswords series (4 books) or Hunters Blade Trilogy, doesn't matter which series you read first for the last 2. Also, even though they are for teenagers, Aragon and Eldest bt Paolini are good easy reads. After that, all of Dean Koontz is pretty good, but you might not like them. (I wasn't into horror or thrillers either till I read Koontz). Oh and The Celestine Series by James Redfield. Makes you look at life from a different perspective it's weird but a great great read. I've bought Celestine prophecy for so many people because I think it needs to be read. It's that good. To me at least. But you have to read the Drizzt books. HAVE TO!!!

how about The Hobbit...The Hobbit is a children's story written by J. R. R. Tolkien in the tradition of the fairy tale. It was first published on September 21, 1937. While it also stands in its own right, it is often seen as a prelude to Tolkien's monumental fantasy novel The Lord of the Rings (published in 1954 and 1955).
The story, subtitled There and Back Again, follows the adventures of the hobbit Bilbo Baggins as he travels across the lands of Middle-earth with a band of dwarves and a wizard named Gandalf on a quest to restore a dwarven kingdom and a great treasure stolen by the dragon, Smaug
Although it says its a childrens book it really isn't lol....

I really love Fiona macintosh 'Merrins Gift'
Tad Williams 'Otherland'
Traci Harding "Ancient Futures'
They are all fantasy novels but the authors have brilliant minds with the stories they come up with. Ancient Futures is the tale of a woman who accidently goes back in time. The story then weaves back and forth in time and into the future.
Otherland is the story of a world inside a computer program that is so real that when the rich strong people of the worlds bodies grow old they can transfer their minds into the program to live on. Some of the worlds inside the program are fantastic.
Merrins Gift is the tale of a man who is given a gift by a dying woman that enables him to transfer to the body of the person who has just killed him.

I like the cyber-punk sf novel Neuromancer by William Gibson alot. The Milagro Beanfield War was hilarious and occasionally even poignant although I can't recall the author at this time. Please call back later or leave your message at the beep.
