The first (and sometimes the second) day of my period is/are the worst day(s) of my life. I get extreme cramps and dihorrea sometimes so bad that I can't sleep. I also get depressed....yea I know typical symptoms but it is causing my grades in school to drop. Most of the day, my first day on the rag hurts so bad that I just end up going home. Cool...except I can't miss that much school. Often times it feels like its impossible to pay attention.

i have the same thing. i almost got fired from work becuase of it. i'v done bad on tests and missed school as well. i feel like im gonan die the first 3 days. what i know if the days leading up to your peroid need to be different, not the days ON the peroid. during the month you should eat healthy, take calcium or eat foods with calcium and vitamin D like leafy greens, brocolli, and dairy and yogurt. also try and excersize and try not be get stressed. i no its hard but just try some of the things, i no life aint perfect and your stressed. ok my doctor told me to take an advil or pain med the FIRST moment you get yout peroid and she said that helps although i;v never tried it. and i'v heard somehting called "prim rose oil" helps ALOT. its a supplement and at your health food store. anyway when i take vitamins and have a healthy month my peroids are a bit easier. good luck!

I'm a guy, but I was a paramedic. So as to not overlook the obvious, have you talked to your doctor? Have you tried any of the over the counter medications for relief of your symptoms? Those are 2 good places to start. Good luck!

I know all to well, how you feel. What helps me, is a heating pad & some Ibuprophen ( the night before and the night of.)

As for the out of control mood swings, try some camameal tea or green tea. These have help me as well.

Stay strong
