I am just wondering if you would say I am mature and sophisticated for my age ? (I am just curious what other people think)
Questions:

-I have a 4.2 GPA
-I speak German almost fluently
-I play piano
-I read the newspaper/watch the news daily
-I read at least 1 new book a month, I am currently reading "Crime and Punishment"
-I don't use slang words or curse

I am a starbucks addict, I always have to have a Caffè Latte in the morning (I don't know if starbucks has anything to do with being mature, but I love it)

OK here we go...read my comments carefully...=)
I will write my comments below each of the details that you have given:
Details:
-I am a junior in highschool(16 years old) and I have a part-time job in an office were I do clerical work.
*Sounds quite mature to me.
-I own a car, I can drive, I pay for my clothes and hair, I rarely ask my parents for money.
*Going good...i consider that mature.
-I take all Advanced Placement and Honors classes in school.
*Nothing too mature about that but surely sophisticated.
-I have a 4.2 GPA
*This only shows how smart you are
-I speak German almost fluently
*Again nothing to do with maturism or sophistication
-I play piano
* Still nothing to do with it
-I read the newspaper/watch the news daily
*Both mature and sophisticated.
-I read at least 1 new book a month, I am currently reading
"Crime and Punishment"
*Maybe can be considered mature.
-I don't use slang words or curse
*Definitely not mature or sophisticated. This is because you see these words like they are something bad. You have to be a bit more open in life girl.
-I don't wear miniskirts, short shorts, anything with writing on it, or bright colors
*Again shows how immature you are. Please be a bit more open minded. Whats wrong with miniskirts, short shorts, bright colors or writings. They do not show who you are. Maturity shows through the way you think and look at life.
-I only wear black, grey, white, and beige with the exception of denim jeans
*I stil dont know what to say.
Thats what i think...think about it...and if you want to talk to me about maturity or ask me about my comments; email me at kingpass82@yahoo.com....always here to help...ill give you some good pointers...peace

Honey, with all that goin for you I would say you were mature, yes, but sophisticated, thats a big meaning behind that and I think you are too down to earth for that. Drop the black or at least ad some color to bring out the real you and that is better than any title you would want to have. The outfit you show is a great style just add some color on some days. Dont flaunt your knowlege let people come to you for questions. Be happy you can communicate with such dignity and maturity. You will be very successful in whatever you challange. I see you as a power lady, one who employers want on their team. what you just wrote leaving out the clothes issue, is a great resume. Good Luck in all you do

1. There is no evidence here that you are either mature or immature. Although working hard, keeping a job, and being finacially resposible IS mature. (However, I know people who are in their 30s and 40s, have great jobs, pay the bills etc, but are more immature than my 8year old son)
Sophisticated? From your example of educational and personal interests and clothing choices, yes I would say you seem sophisticated (professional, at the very least)
2. I'm more of the person to be happy with being myself than worrying if I'm one label or another, so I can't help much in helping you be :"more sophisticated"

You are responsible, motivated and smart, more mature than the average 16 year old.
But you are also insecure and prudish; too focused on being good and performing your idea of what mature/sophistication mean, not having meaningless fun (a necessity at your age) and you are in need of praise and attention.
Relax a lil bit, have fun, enjoy yourself without giving up your good qualities. You have many years ahead of more and more responsibility and if you continue to be as focused you may never have real fun.
I know, I was you.

You are very productive and mature, but to not like color at 16 ? To just wear black, grey, beige ? That is kinda bland . . . especially you never wear colors or with writing on it ?
It almost sounds like you are trying a bit toooo hard to be an adult. Chill out . . . don't be wrapped too tight.
The job / classes / piano - all good but all I see is stiff business suit approach to life . . .
What about art ? friends ? some social life ?
You really should consider periodically going to the park in red pants, with a t-shirt on and listening to a concert or something.
Successful life has balance - you need some fun.

Don't know about "mature", nut you sure have boring pretty well covered. To be young is to embrace life, adventure, and the lessons to be learned. A wise man said that it's the journey-not the destination. You have arrived--but missed everything on the way....

well it sounds like your pushing yourself to be an adult......you should be enjoying yourself dont push your self to hard enjoy life. as long as your not stressing your self out doing any of those things you should be fine but dont add more to your list.....have fun enjoy life. as far as the clothes give me a break you could add a lil color and still be sophisticated...... you sound like an old lady or a realy ugly girl. just be free hun....stop being hard on yourself
