Why do the Americans over-dramatise absolutely everything?
"Oh my god it's a cat! That's just like so totally awesome. High five man....yeah!

The Americans learned early on that if you want to get things done quickly you must organise your work force so that each worker knows exactly what he/she is supposed to be doing. To this end American business began looking at how things are made and constructed and published books showing workers who to accomplish a given task. When American businesses turned their attention to the 'art of war' in c1941 they needed these books and plans so that people who formerly had not worked in an industrial setting could take up the tools and do the job quickly and efficiently without fuss or bother.
This kind of thinking was applied in particular to the construction of 'liberty ships' which were built in under two months by workers who had never seen a ship under construction let alone work in a ship yard. Their record of work was fantastic and without the 'liberty ships' it is doubtful that the USA could have supplied even a quarter of the war materials required to sustain the British as well as the newly arrived American Army now based in UK preparing for the assault upon the fortress of Nazi occupied Europe.
As to why the Brits make things complicated is beyond me because in most cases when it comes to the creation of new technologies, where the Brits may have invented something, such as 'radar', it was best left to the Americans to develop the technology further so that instead of looking at a wavy line on a small screen, we had a picture map of everything to the horizon. It took American knowhow and determination to achieve this. The same could be said of penecilin, discovered by the Brits but only really made effective by American knowhow and science.

In this country, either you win an election, or you lose an election.
And when you do, it is decided by the public.
There is no such nosense as winning an election, but it being the same when approximated, so call it a draw, then -despite what the public think- vote for it exclusively within the Electoral College of each state, and add up a total for each side.
WHICH, ends up running a lot like a boxing tally when the fight reaches 12 rounds.
I can only assume you are talking about the proportional system, in which not every area has equal numbers of people. So they are given a proportional vote.
In other words, if there are 10 people in one area and 1000 in another. And in the first, 4 people vote Conservative, this would be counted as equalt to 400 people in the second area.
Basically, it means that everybodies vote counts.
Even if you live in the hills by yourself, with a dog and a budgie for companionship.
Who ever gets the most votes proportionally wins, and becomes the government.
If you win with over half the seats in the house of commons, you -as a party- no longer need to consult the house of commons on your plans, providing your party is not split on an issue.
In future, I suggest you let people know what its in reference to. Because as you can see, it gets people annoyed.

The British are not complicated we just like a well run country. We may pay the highest taxes in the world, but I have travelled most of it and realised that theres nothing better than Britain. America is disorganised and the people are too cocky, sloppy, over react to everything, and believe they invented everything. Plus they try to speak english and just mess it up I mean whats with " y'all". Now if thats not complicated tell me what is, youre there for about half an hour trying to work out their pathetic slang.

I have worked with British engineers on various projects and although they love to go over a theory or new circuit many times (very thorough) they do not make things (at least in electronics) complicated. However, I have found that the Brits are very stubborn. Unbelievably so. I once laid out a plan to a British engineer and he said no, no, no! I then told him that the plan was designed in England several years ago and it was published in a manual and it was accepted around the world. No,no,no!

In general Americans are over dramatic and superficial. For instance, who else spends so much money and time on cosmetic surgery? They seem insecure that is why they are so keen on military prowess. In general Brits think more yet are perhaps over cautious but surely better than gung ho!
