flavor is more common, but I believe if their are alternate spellings, they accept either answer unless they specify the root.

In USA spell flavor. If in England or Canada use flavour.

Depends on which type of English u r using.UK or USA, I am not very sure but I think that flavor is US English and flavour is UK English.
