The Chicago White Sox. For anyone that said the Cubs I pity you, your blind and aimless hope is blinding you from reality. The White Sox, despite playing in a much better league than the Cubs have all the makings of winning the central division title again this year. With their infamous 3-4-5 trio of Thome, Konerko, and Dye having astronomical seasons last year one should assume that that production couldn't drop off enough to make them any less than the most feared middle of the order in all of baseball. They have a tremendous starting rotation with solid starters front to back and a closer that has the mentality of a bulldog--- sorry Cubs fans, overpaying a 30 (or 35, who knows) yr old Alfonso Soriano isn't going to win you back any of your fans over at new Comiskey.

Without a doubt it will be the White Sox. The Sox have an all around good team. Good offense, good pitching and good defense. As for the Cubs, they will be much improved, especially on offense with Alfonso Soriano. But unfortunately, they have not really addressed their pitching needs. Over a long season, you have to have a balanced ball club and the Sox just have a better overall team than the Cubs.

The Cubs. I wouldn't say they have a better team, but I think the White Sox were always on borrowed time. Their World Series season was a fluke and will not be repeated for another 100 years or so.

Cubs. No contest. They have the hitting and the fielding and now they have the pitching to go all the way!! This from a Red Sox fan.

The Cubs, but they'll still end up in 2nd or 3rd in the Central. I think it is safe to say that the NL Central is the toughest division in baseball.

White Sox still have better pitching. Pitching wins no matter what some guys from Detroit think who can't get the White Sox out of their head!

The Cubbies made better off season moves and have better pitching. Alphonso Soriano is a stud and he can carry the team for short periods if he gets hot. Zambrano is another Stud and if Kerry Wood and Mark Prior are healthy watch out.

The Cubs, of course.
It is pretty safe to say that The Cubs have greatly improved while their southside crybaby neighbors, the whinny sux, have done nothing to get better.
I think The Cubs have a solid chance of finishing in 2nd place (or maybe even 1st---yeah yeah yeah I know wishful thinking) while the whinny sux will have to fight KC for who finishes in last place.
