no...its the fashion industry, designers and the media for promoting these images ....they know they set the standard and they could put a stop to this...but most of these designers are gay males so they go for an androgenist look...even though they design for women..they take inspiration from men...which curves and big chests don't fit the mode.....
"sigh" another thumbs down post for me....but I have been around the fashion scene....I know.......

I think some people like to blame the fashion industry for eating disorders because eating disorders are rampant in the fashion industry. But I don't think 0 size models themselves are to blame for somebody else's health problem.

It's not the models themselves, it's the industry that puts pressure on models to be so scary thin. Yes some people are naturally thin, but sometimes those models look like they came out of a concentration camp. I would blame the fashion industry and the media, not the models who are starving themselves to make a living.

I dont think the models themselves are to blame, but I do think the fashion and media industry does have a lot to answer for. They are responsible for portraying that stick thin image in the first place, and you don't have to be Einstein to figure out that these images play on the psyche of susceptible individuals, mainly teens, and will help to develop poor body image and so on.

No. I think women in general are to blame for eating disorders. Women are far more critical of each other than men could ever hope to be. Whether they are sniping about so and so dressing like a tramp, or how this girl looks bloated, or that one is sooooo skinny, or OMG Becky Look At Her Butt! it seems like all women do is tear each other up.

Nope. Models have succumbed to the glamorous stage which has thrown a decree that all models have to eat nothing have protruding bones, all in the name of fashion. So blame the industry not the individuals who are earning their money and fame; the fashion industry and those multi billionaires who wrote those decrees.

No. Not everyone needs to starve to maintain a size 0. For some, it's natural. Models are to blame if they starve themselves. They are not responsible for everyone else.

notwithstanding i might want to wish accountable her as i imagine she is a unnecessary waster, i do not imagine she is accountable no. i imagine that is largely via those who layout couture outfits. they have created the benchmark for those women human beings and in user-friendly words they could change it, in the adventure that they determined that their outfits regarded extra effective on a length 8 woman then the length 0 craze might want to be meaningless. i'm obviously skinny and pre-youngsters i turned right into a length 6. i'm now a 8. human beings imagine I actually have an eating disease which p's me off, notwithstanding I did have one at the same time as i become in my youngsters I eat what i want at the same time as i want now and take common exercising.

I think they are partially to blame, when you have "you have to be this skinny to look good in these clothes" type of propaganda blasted at you 24/7 from TV, Computers, Billboards, Magazines...etc, you start criticizing yourself and you ask yourself why you don't look like that.
But other factors are to blame too, low-self esteem for example.

no i think society in general has alot to do with it . i also believe it has to do with the person, their life, and their circumstanses. i know a person who grew up with a mother who was always telling her she needed to go on a diet and, in turn, she became anorexic. i also knew an overweight girl whose parents treated her with love and respect no matter what she looked like and she has turned out to be one of the happiest most successful women i know and she is still overweight. i also think it depends on how your peers treat you. i think that really affects society as a whole.
