I like the idea, and am very much in favor of a history breaking event of a very first female president of the United States.
That she has been a previous First Lady adds to her credibility, she knows the talk and the walk, she has been there with her husband, gained from their collective experiences, hobnobbed with international leaders to name a few benefits.
Those who loved the presidency years of her husband should know that she had been there helping and guiding in the background,
Now if only a suitable vice presidential candidate is available....

I think it's about time we move into the 21 century in someways we are still far behind for what we should be in this country. The United States has still not had a women president or a black president, all our presidents have been white men. I sometimes think that people here in the U.S do not want to break the cycle of all white men only presidents and are still not ready for the change. If you stop and think about it the women have been running some countries for years or centuries like in England it has always been a queen. So I keep hoping that someday we end up having either a women for president or having a black man like Colin Powell or Jesse Jackson who I know did run for president once or twice wich was before my time cause I was to young to remember. There are many first ladies that would have been good presidents like Eleanor Roosevelt was a good first lady from what I have read and would have probably made a good president, but anyway I just hope someday to see the change in life.

That's fine with me. I don't care what she does. No, a former first lady has not run for president before. ( I am talking about in the United States.)

I think Hillary Rob'em Clinton is not qualified . She and Bill put National Security in jeopardy countless times when they occupied the White House . She leaves a long trail of illegal antics in her wake ; and the US is not ready to be socialist or communist .
The Clinton White House tried to deplete our military ; and at a time where National Security is our number one concern - our nation can not take chances with our freedoms . There are countless reasons why Hillary is not a leader .

I don't think she should run, just because I think most Dems are underestimating the level of hatred the right and alot of America has for her.
This said, I don't like her either, but I have specific reasons to not like her and I fall in the independent, moderate, liberal category. A vast majority of the right wing just hates her in a knee jerk reaction and her election would be a major slap in the face.
And there are so many mindless drones in this country who will actually listen to the Rush Limbaughs and O'Reillys and gang up on her.
Just watch ANY southern/patriotic type comedian (ex, Larry the Cable Guy) They can bomb for 30 mins straight, then just say something like "That Hillary Clinton what a b..." and the roof will go down on that place and they'll get a standing ovation as if they were the second coming of Richard Pryor

This is the first woman ever to run for president. If you think back when Bill Clinton was pres., you can't help but to remember Hilary being the pushy, outspoken woman. If thats a good thing, is a question i leave up to you.

No other Us 1st lady has ever ran for president. As for Hilary-bad choice. she is a self serving b***ch, and she has no military experience. I honestly think as a military man the Commander and Chief should have a working knowledge of the troops. She wins the election and we ALL lose!!!

That she is a previous first lady has nothing to do with it. She has her own proven abilities.
So, I am all for her candidacy and becoming the first woman-president of the U.S.
Hopefully Barack Obama will accept the number two spot (VP).
This would be an absolute power ticket.

I am moving to Canada if Billary wins. And yes there was another woman that ran for president
1872 - Victoria Woodhull is the first woman to run for president of the United States.
I am not happy with her, It would be nice if she was pro life and pro woman, but she is not . She doesn't really act like a woman she acts like a woman trying to act like a man.
No thanks!
