I have an E6600 core 2 duo processor at 2.4GHz stock with an Asus P5B - Deluxe motherboard. I was wondering if I could overclock it even though I have 533 DDR2 RAM and won't get a 2:1 ratio between RAM and FSB speed (stock 266MHz). Multipliers for from 6-9 (stock 9) so it's unlocked downward, but I can't go higher than 9. Help me out please.

That RAM will pose a problem. The RAM will most likely overclock a little, but not much, so you are definately going to have a problem until you get some bettter RAM.

properly first i opt to thank the 1st answerer for that 20 minute Intel infomercial, too undesirable he did no longer even attempt to answer the question. My preliminary wager could be cooling, in spite of the undeniable fact that that does look extremely low overclock for the cooling to be the subject, yet once you're utilising inventory cooling you're able to pass forward and attempt an o.e.m cooler. increasing voltage might desire to help, yet returned, this looks like too small an overclock to wish a voltage boost, yet returned, attempt that and spot if it works. considering the fact that i could ought to get rid of those 2, my terrific wager could be that your motherboard or your chipset does not overclock properly. i could flash the BIOS on your motherboard, that would desire to help. in case you like further help, i'm going to attempt to do what i will, even though it could help in case you sent me your motherboard type selection, plus your RAM data, then maybe some thing could come out to me. My e mail is in my profile.
