It is ridiculous!! As long as you crack the window the smoke will go right out the window!! What rights are they gonna take away next?? Next they will tell you what foods you're allowed to feed your children!!

Smoking is a choice and little kids trapped in the car with their parents are not making the decision to smoke, the parents are imposing their habit on them. I've seen parents do this even when they have a child with asthma, nothing seems to stop them, some women even smoke while they are pregnant. I am not against a proposed law such as this, but I also don't think it would pass either, the reasons for this are many. A law is not a replacement for basic common sense.

No I do not think it is a good law. I do not smoke around other people that do not smoke. Nor do I smoke inside my home or when the kids are with me. However; I don't need the government telling me not to do it. Seat belts save lives too, but I didn't need the government telling me to wear one! When are they going to put cameras outside my house so they can watch me come and go? They are slowly taking away all of our freedoms. And before we know it, we won't have freedom of choice.

They just enacted that law here. If you are caught smoking in a car with someone younger than 18 first you get warned then after that you get tickets. I think that it is a good law. If a person wants to harm themselves that is there issue, but when there are kids in the car what gives them the right to harm the kids??

Personally, I make the choice not to smoke in the car when my kids are in it (as well as in my home)

I, do not need a law to have that common sense, although some do.

However, I dont think its appropiate to have a law dictating it.

No. This is rediculous. How will they enforce it anyway? It is my choice as a parent how to raise my kids. I smoke in the car with my child and I am fine with that choice. It isn't the government's place to tell me I'm wrong.

No, but I would at least support a law that the window must be down at least 6 inches.

I think there should be a law against smoking in the car with kids. I think it's disgusting when I drive past someone puffing away with kids in the backseat.

I don't think they need to pass it as law. Haven't people heard of passive smoking? I think it is disrespectful to smoke in a confined space around kids or anyone else who is a non-smoker. If they want to kill themselves do it by themselves. Don't harm the rest of us. Kids need to be led by example.
