If the above doesn't work , just power it off, that will clear it , and you can start it up as usual.

If you use Windows 2000 OS then press Ctrtl+Alt+Del keys simultaneously.
1.) This will invoke the trusted path function an present a login interface to unlock the computer.
2.) Enter the authorized administrator's account name and password and click OK.
3.) A Windows Message will appear, warning that the current user will be logged off and any unsaved work will be lost. Click OK to log the current user off.
4.) The current user gets logged off and the administrator or another authorized user may now log into the computer.

Or if this is a Screen Saver lock then simply enter the password when it prompts.. if you don't know the password, you may have to ask the Administrator of the computer to log in and create a separate account for you...

Press ctl-atl-del and enter your password. Else, just switch off the main power and restart the desktop.
