My usb drive has a RAW partition and it is right protected and i want to remove it as there is an executable which drives me crazy.
How can i format it?
I tried :
format /FS:FAT

..but it is not working. I am using Win XP sp2.

Hello.. when i right click the drive, there i can't see the Format option!
Help needed ..

Well in that case I think you should use a disk manager..
Y not try something like partition magic.. works like a charm..

If it is a hardware lock, then you may have problems..

Hook up the Drive then go to My Computer. Right click the drive then select format. Format it as Fat16.

for a quick answer after you hook up the drive to your pc. double click my computer to see if the drive is listed there. if it is then right click it and go to format. if you dont have a format option there then you have a possible proprietary issue and you may have to use the software for the drive to format it.
