Can a polar bear live comfortably in Hawaii? Can a fish survive in a forest? Explain why or why not, thinking about how these animals have developed over the years.

I know obviously the answer is no but I don't know how to explain. the main thing i need to know is about how these animals have developed over the years.

NO a polar bear cannot live in hawaii. It has evolved through time to appreciate the colder climate. Animals not only adapt to their surroundings but also to their food sources (polar eat a lot of marine life) and also for their best protection from prey (i think whales and man are the polar bears prey).

Fish have always been in the water. Most land animals have evolved from the water. In that respect fish have had no real need to develop. They 'breathe' through the gills. They feed on plankton and so commences the food chain.

The animal kingdom is about the survival of the fittest and being at the top of the food chain. Man is at the top. Then the larger prey downwards to the plankton and ameobas

hope this helps
good luck

well i know polar bears have adapted to very low temperatures, and if taken to Hawaii, they might dehydrate bcause of the heat. I am not sure what u mean with the fish. In or outside of water? Fish require water to retrieve oxygen using their gills. I am not sure what else you can say about that, but I hope this can help you a bit.

polar bears are designed physically to live in the cold. their skin is black to absorb sunlight, and their fur easily dries and keeps them warm. there aren't many fish in hawaii, or seals, and that's mostly the food of polar bears.

fish need water to breathe, they have gills to take the oxygen out of liquid, fish wouldn't be able to move on land, uhh yeah
