I went in for an ultrasound at 11 weeks, prior to the ultrasound I had a blood sample and physical done and they said everything looks good. When I went for the standard follow up ultrasound at 11 weeks, they said they couldn't find the baby's heartbeat and the baby stopped growing at 6 weeks and 5 days. It was the hardest thing I went through, especially because I was in such shock when they first said there was no fetal heartbeat it didn't click in my head until the nurse said "I'm sorry for your loss" With my situation I did have brown bleeding for a couple weeks but my friend had a baby girl in January 2010 and she had brown bleeding throughout the whole pregnancy. Just remember that every pregnancy is different and just try not to stress about it and know that if you did miscarry it's very common. It was so difficult for me to go through and I still think of that baby to this day, especially on the EDD. Fortunately, two months after that experience I got pregnant again and now have a healthy 5 month old baby boy. Just know that miscarriages are normal and if you did loose the baby and happen to get pregnant again, you will probably stress about loosing it again but understand it is normal and more people go through it than you know. Most of the women I know have experienced miscarriage. Now with that being said, you can be completely fine and have a healthy pregnany, who knows? This is just my experience/opinion but just try to remember every pregnancy is different. Good luck and I wish you all the best with you and your little family :)

Sorry, but you really can't tell by the heart rate. My son's was 143-149 and he wasn't a girl! If you are so stuck on knowing, get an ultrasound and see if you can see what gender the baby is.

My baby's heart beats are always low like yours. In the 140s. But, my ultrasound said it's a boy. You never know.

My baby's was in that range, and he was a boy. the only way to know for sure is if you get an ultrasound and they can get a clear look to tell (He also was in a position at my ultrasound where we couldn't tell his sex, I thought I was gonna have a little girl, lol)

if the heart rate told the sex, then nobody would ever go for a sonogram. best is to leave to nature and be happy with the beautiful surprise you receive.

Oh don't be so silly! You have a 50% chance of either, have a professional/medical test, or just wait till s/he pops out...!
