Honestly, recently I have been hearing people complain about Federer's dominance in tennis. Claiming they are "bored" to see him win all the time. That he's been #1 for too long. ect. I mean, did past dominant tennis players like Steffi Graf and Pete Sampras receive such criticism during their dominant years?

Steffi Graf and Pete Sampras were drawn to many more tighter matches than Roger. They had got "competitors", whereas Roger has hardly got any. They didn't win each and every match in with bagels. They got knocked out in the first round sometimes, Federer is unaware of first round losses for long. I am not saying that it is irritating to watch Fed all the time, but it does get a bit monotonous when he beats players like Djokovic and Davydenko in straight sets.

I'm pretty sure i hate federer. It's one thing to just keep winning and winning and never mixing it up, but its another thing to have every one of those matches be the most boring matches to watch. It's always straight sets, nothing's different. If anyone even gets close to stealing a set, it becomes the headline for the day. I'm so sick of it. Go retire. Pete Sampras was fun to watch, that's the difference.

And Roger has the most annoying style. When he plays, he's all relaxed, as if he's walking during every shot. His hair looks the same as it did when the match started, he hasn't sweat an ounce. It looks fake. I dont know, something about him really really bugs me.

Andy Roddick is like completely opposite, he's not afraid to show his emotions during a match, which makes it a million times more fun and interesting to watch. Marat Safin is the same way. They scream during matches, yell at themselves, throw their rackets around, pump their fists during important points won, and cry when an important match is over and they just won. It's always the same old thing for federer, but some people say it's just classier. I don't care if it's classier to not show emotion, it's not fun to watch either.

People don't hate Federer. How could you hate someone so dominant in a sport. Michael Jordan was never hated nor is Tiger Woods. These guys are what make the sport so fun. Granite I would like to see my guy Roddick beat Federer, I love watching Federer win. Have you tried playing with the guy's racquet? You'd be shocked on how crappy it is. The guy plays with a racquet that is just like a wooden racquet. I was amazed that he could be so dominate with such a terrible racquet. Roger is awesome. He's so put together that he doesn't even need a coach. How does the guy do it?!

Hate and complaining are two different things. Dominance is boring if the winner of any tourny is virtually a foregone conclusion. Not Federer's fault but you want competition and the outcome to be in the balance.

By the way, Steffi and Sampy both were criticized for the same thing esp. Sampy as he had the personality of wallpaper.

I don't think that anyone actually hates Federer, I just think that they want someone else to win. They want to see Federer be put in the position that he put all of his opponents in. Think about it: Whenever you say that Federer is going to be playing someone, you know for a fact that, with his technique and mental stability, he's going to win, alot of people want this to change. They basically just want to see Federer struggle and have a very tough time winning.

i dont hate federer but when i watched his match against djokovic i realised how irritating it is to watch him.i completely agree he has the perfect all roung game but when u know the winner before the match what is the use.even if his opponent breaks him he gets the break right back.so it gets bugging watching him defeat top class players as though they were nobodys.also he is a really quiet player no jumping, smiles or happiness even on winning a match.so that makes him uninteresting to watch.

People have gotten impatient nowadays. We don't like to sit around and "wait" for something new to happen...We just want it to happen! lol. I personally like him. Fortunately for me (well sort of), I don't get the opportunity to watch tennis much, so it's always a lot of fun for me to watch it him. But I can understand why some people hate him or are bored with him. He does win a lot!

I don't think Samras and Graf are even comparable to Federer... Federer is the greatest player ever!! I'm sure he will set the new record for most grandslams!! BRILLIANT!!! People are jealous of himis why they "hate him. " Also he is a bad loser.
