I am personally very upset about America's making China into a number one world power by purchasing most of our goods from them. Next year (or two) there will be an automobile from them. What is our trade deficit? Billions and the industrialists and general businessmen don't care at all as long as they can bring in cheap crap and make a huge profit. China takes our money and buys weaponry. They are working on a system that will shoot down our satellites. Can you imagine what this will do to our military if a war breaks out? No communications and without it our modern army will be helpless. Yes, crash their economy or they will crash us.

As ! pointed out, crashing China's economy would crash America's too, and the rest of the world probably.

Why is there all this concern about China's military build up? Does the USA have something the rest of the world doesn't know about that renders it paranoid about the military activities of other countries. Ironically, though this questioner clearly doesn't see it, it is the rest of the world that is worried about Americas military hegemony, not the other way around!

for centuries, china has always been a military nation, a self sufficient one and pretty powerful. china is one of the earliest civilizations that has existed ....they were about the same time as Egypt, Sumeria and India.

they have over 4 billion people living in china which is more than 60% of the world's population. china is considered today one of the world's powers just like the united states is.

also, China, United States, Russian Federation, the United Kingdom and France are the only five permanent members of the United Nations security council which makes all these five countries in equal standing. all other countries in the world that are members of the united nations do not have the power of the above 5 countries in world decision making.

though china and the united states have different system of government there is mutual respect between them. the united states and china are in economic partnership. i do not think we could really interfer with the china and it would also not be wise to even try.

I heard a security analyst say today that China has the ability to turn off the power grid in North America through the Internet. They took out a satellite (which just happens to be at the same altitude as our military command and control) last month. they have 700 nuclear warheads pointed at the USA right now. They have a ready army of 200 million.

Uh oh too late...I suggest Bush start behaving himself.

in this world, everyone born ready, they must have death, in between birth and death the life is un-determined for long or short, but one died never born again.

we should not stop anyone's growth by means of military or by means of any other ways. after the Nagasaki & Hiroshima bomb attack the Japanese Government is realising the effects of atomic war effects. so every country must think before do and act to do something towards its citizens, when the personal place is fullfilled by a man, then only he try to do something to the others, like that every country think itself to do the developing parts rather than thinking of military developments.

as a human being, most of us learn more and try to educate others in other ways of good manners. when this aim we attained, this world is free from competency for military power.
