25 seconds.
I had just bought a used Honda CB400 and the guy dropped it off at my flat. I had no idea how to ride. I just jumped on the thing with all my buds gathered around (it was a Friday night party at my off-campus apartment).
I started it, let it idle. Once it was warm, I put it in gear and let the clutch out. Wheee! I ran it straight into a bush, trying to stop it with my feet! I jumped off and the bike slowly crashed to the ground with the motor running.
See, I didn't know where the brakes were!
I have never dropped a bike since, and that was seven or eight bikes and 30 years ago. I have fallen several times due to weather (ice, wet, snow) and once due to road conditions (a coat of sand over asphalt), but never again have I just "dropped it".

I dropped mine within about a month. I even dropped it the other day because I became cocky turning it over loose gravel on the side of the road. Bang..there went $48 for the indicator repair. Also some slight scratching on the right fairing. The upside is that its a very old fzr600 which I got very cheap off ebay. I'm so glad I got a 2nd hand bike as my first road dedicated bike.

My first bike was a smallish Hyosung GV250 cruiser. It came equipped with a center stand in addition to the kick stand. Even though the bike weighed in at less then 400 lbs, I could never get it up on its center stand on level ground. Always needed a small incline to get some gravity assist. Anyway, the first and only time I dropped my bike was in a level parking lot trying to get the bike up on its center stand (just horsing around with the toy). I lost control for a split second which caused some minor scraps on the underside of my exhaust pipe. I was able to manhandle the lightish bike right back up before it fully went down hard.

Take some bottled water with you, granola bars for snacks. end each and every 2 hours or so and stretch your legs, verify your motorcycle over (wheels, chain or belt, seek for oil seepage, and so on.). Scope out our surroundings in case you're stopped. stay to correctly-traveled roads(i'm no longer announcing do no longer take a edge holiday in case you like), in case you smash down there will be a better hazard of having help faster. attempt to no longer be in such an all-fired hurry to get there. decelerate and soak up our surroundings. I took a visit from Dallas to Victoria Island in Canada. Had a blast. purely take a while and revel interior the view.

A little less than a year. Wet mist and sand on a curve. Next thing I know is the bike is flipping all over the place and I have a good view of the asphalt. Too close, if you know what I mean.
The last was a front tire blow out on the expressway. Sold it the next day

I dropped mine the second day, but only because a pedestrian stepped out in front of me and I chose to hit the curb instead of him. No big deal though, just a couple of scratches on the mirror and a couple of bruises on me. I learend a VERY valuable lesson:
Pedestrians move less predictably than vehicles because they are smaller, because they ALWAYS have the right of way and they know it, they ALWAYS expect you to not hit them.

I laid mine down in the first month. I wasn't paying as close attention as I should have been. It was at a low speed. No damage to me, but there was some minor damage to the bike.

Been riding 31 years and not dropped a bike, don't plan on ever dropping one.
Most riders drop a bike, because of lack of confidence or a fat chick on the back causing a loss of balance.
