Good question...why should the USA worry about it? For goodness sake, if China and the USA go to war the whole world economy would collapse - not beneficial for either party.
Should the rest of the world outside of the USA worry about the overwhelming superiority of the USA's defence and ATTACK capabilities? What is the USA, and its citizens, afraid of? Or is it self-inflicted paranoia?

The Chinese have been in dispute seriously over the possesion of the Island of Taiwan and we have a mutual defense pact with them. So any Chinese aggression there will require our government to defend Taiwan.
