For Windows XP
Begin by first clicking on the Start Button.
Then move your mouse over the All Programs icon to display all Start Menu folders.
If your Start Menu is set to the Classic View, move your mouse over the Programs folder instead.
Now, move your mouse onto the Accessories menu folder until it expands.
Then move your mouse onto the System Tools menu folder until it expands.
Now click on the System Information icon to launch the System Information Program.
The System Information utility will open and default to the System Summary Screen.
And details are provided for your Operating System, Microprocessor, System Memory etc.
Windows 98 displays the basics while Windows ME and XP will provide extensive information.
And you can also browse the Subcategories such as Hardware Resources and Components etc.
Simply click on the plus sign [+] next to each Subcategory to view the contents listed within.
