Walking with Cavemen was pretty good. Robert Leakey (Louis son) has made some good ones as has David Attenborough. Depends if you want evolution in general of just human evolution...

"Cosmos", a TV series, presented by the late Carl Sagan, was brilliant on both the Cosmology and Evolution aspects.When combined with "The Ascent of Man" and "History's Turning Points", it is an education in itself!
