My friend and her boyfriend had sex on new years day so about 3 weeks ago. They said the condom ripped but he said it wasnt long enough for anything to come out. She had her period right before then so shes expecting it soon. She has lower back pain and shes more tired than usual. The back pain might just be from her cheerleading. But what are the chances that shes pregnant???

First, anyone can buy a pregnancy test. Get one of your older friends or someone you can confide in to take you.
Early symptoms of pregnancy include:
A missed period
Swollen or tender breasts
Fatigue
Nausea/Morning sickness (although not just in the morning, could happen anytime of the day)
Backaches-in the lower back
Headaches
Frequent Urination
Darkening of Areolas
Food Cravings
Although some of these happen later in pregnancy, it is possible to feel some of them as early as two weeks. Try to get her a pregnancy test....she does have the symptoms...Good Luck

First, there is ALWAYS a chance of pregnancy with unprotected sex. And I understand that a condom was used and it broke, but that's still unprotected. Just think about all the sperm that could have spilled out depending on how it broke. And what many young people don't know (although you might) is that sperm is produced and released even before a male ejaculates.
She should take a pregnancy test if she's late on her period. Besides, right now, it's still too early to tell on some tests.
Go to Planned Parenthood--they're discreet and dependable.
HOWEVER, the most important thing I want to stress is this (no matter the outcome of the pregnancy question): everyone in this situation needs to take a good look at the risks of having sex at such a young age. (Please note that I am mostly directing this at your friend and her boyfriend). If you feel too young to go out and get a pregnancy test, you are too young to even be thinking about having sex. Enjoy your younger years while you can. And you can enjoy them just fine without sex.
ALSO, if you feel you absolutely have to have sex, then please go to Planned Parenthood or another clinic and get educated about sex and its consequences.
Also, they have many forms of birth control--not that I think teens that young should be having sex. But at least it's better than children having children.

There is always a chance when you have sex, especially if the condom breaks. However, lower back pain and fatigue can both be symptoms of her upcoming period. Wait for her period to be 5 days late then take a preg test. Good luck!
You can go to a planned parenthood, and if you cant do that go to her regular doctor. You have to do something.

Can't give you a percentage for chances she's pregnant. It doesn't take a split second for a sperm to get out of a condom, into the vagina and ultimately fertilize an egg. She really needs to take a test. If she's pregnant, one would show positive by now.

anytime you have sex you're taking a chance at getting pregnant tell her boyfriend to buy the test for her or someone he knows that is older

The condom could have broken and she could also get pregnant.That's a state that many women desire,so as we were designed for it,let nature take its course.

why you are thinking so much on that just buy a pregnency test card available with every chemist, & check your friend if she is pregnent or not.
