There will be one term (x - x) = 0. And anything multiplied by zero is zero.

given that the expression is stated as (x-a)(x-b)(x-c).....(x-y)....
it is safe to assume that this contains a factor (x-x) which is equal to zero...a zero factor make the whole expression equal to zero...the answer is zero....
