What I do is reach up behind my back and over my shoulder - a combination of these positions can help you get most of it applied. Sometimes putting the lotion on the back of your hand and applying it that way can help! I don't often moisturise my back though - I only do this if I want to fake tan there.

have someone do it for you, or find a long stick with a sponge on it and do it that way, like a shower sponge with a handle
