Shoot hun we have no service station in the little Village here in Alberta Canada where my hubby and I live, we love it. Got a library that is open 4 hours a week, a general store open Mon thru Sat from 8 am to 6:30 pm, beer store lol thinking about 200 folks here and there in this little Village... Peaceful, if we see 3 vehicles go by one after the other where we are we laugh and say oh rush hour look out lol But we wouldnt trade this little peice of heaven on earth for anything ...

Well, I had that option as well. Big city or small town. We ended up choosing neither, as we're going to do a destination wedding. But, it's really up to you. I was going to have to go with small town since that's where all his family was from, and it was only an hour away for mine, versus the five hours that everyone would have traveled to get to where we live now. I think that the charm of the small town would make for a nice backdrop for your day, but, as you said, the big city has many more choices than what a small town will. :) Good luck, and congrats!!! :D

I'm okay with where I live, but I would prefer the small town life that you and a couple other lucky folks who have already answered have. My hometown had a grand total population of 326 when I left and I think it has exploded to just over 500. I would love to go back to a life of not having to rush around and everyone thinking they need it right now. I'm envious.

I live in a very small town in northern Michigan. Only about 1600 people, sounds like your town. Love the fact that we don't have even one stop light.

small town, rural area. but i am 30 mins away from a larger town with more resturants and shopping, and 90 mins away from a big city with everything. so i get the best of both worlds.

Small city. We have Wal Mart and McDonalds, lol. It's about 15,000 people, give or take a few thousand.
