Does anyone know if Guy Ritchie is still making a film based on the Knights of Malta and the Great Seige??

I heard he put it off due to insurance costs after 9/11 but have not heard if he is back on to it or still interested...

From what I know the screenplay as apparently been completed and Anthony Hopkins and Robert De Niro were approached at some stage to play roles, but at this point in time the project seems to be very much in limbo. I know Ritchie is working on a couple of other projects at the moment, so it looks like this film won't be revived any time soon.
