Okay, here's the deal. My science project is tomorrow and I'm sooo nervous, that don't know what this question is:

Why do acids decompose carbon dioxide in boiling water?!?!?!?!

Well, I am not a Chemistry expert, but I can try to answer it.

I don't think that can happen. See, Acids, when dissolved in water give hydronium ions. And since carbon dioxide itself is an acid, the answer is now right in front of you. Boiled water or not, it doesn't change the reaction.

I tried (i understand how you feel) . Try to research on the internet too if there is anything extra. Good luck!

omgosh, I totally feel for you. I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago. I went crazy, I stayed up till 2:00 in the mornig to finish it and got up at 6 but it was worth it and I got a near perfect mark. I really have no idea about your quesiton. Remember to breathe and don't get your head all flustered because then you won't be able to think.
