Does Indians have any say in America's activity ?
Can we change their action ?
As president of India he has lot of things to do in his country and for his country, why to interfere in others activity and cause some more conflicts !!!
As an Indian I do not see any difference between Bush and Saddam, both of them should be hanged. At least one is done and some one else need to come forward for the other.

what gorban said is one reason.. moreover, It is fact that what America has done is not the correct .. ie. interfering in other independent nation using their mussle power.. but at the same time just because America did the wrong thing, we cant forget the evil deeds of Saddam. Ask any iraq resident - impartial - you can come to know what Saddam has done to his opposition groups, other groups of muslims, etc. Iraq, though has the wealthiest oil reserve, the people wtill struggle for a better living. So , i believe that one cant blindly support America or Saddam.. Especially in a sensitive nation like india. I think that is why APJ has maintained silence..

The President is the Head of the State. Any comments from such Authority may be construed as the opinion of the country.These are sensitive issues on which highest authorities will not open up like we ordinary mortals.

I think his silence shows his wisdom. If he reacts in any way, it will be subject to public scrutiny. And in a land divided like Iraq, another "nuance" can cause an uproar, moreso bombings just because of his reaction. In any case, I think being silent is the better alternative.
His country has alot of serious troubles aside from the saddam incident.
