I heard that it was Texas, but I'm pretty sure that it is a national problem and not just isolated to Texas. I live in California. Believe me, we have tons of overweight people. Of course they don't show you that side of California in the movies or on tv. I'd say the overweight population here is about 60% to 70%. It is kind of scary. Makes you wonder what they are putting in our food.

I didn't bother to research the states, but as far as cities go...these are the highest rates of obesity.

Well I heard about this on tv. They were all southern states. I know two it's Texas and Louisiana. I'm not sure about the third. But you know us southerners, we love all that southern fried foods.
