Everyone has a different pain threshold so it's hard to know what you mean by painful. I can always tell when I'm ovulating. I get the feeling of added pressure and an aching, pulling sensation.Very uncomfortable for sure. If you are feeling a lot of pain you should go see a doctor though .... just to be sure you are ok. : )

Yes, it can. I used to get a small, crampy pain in my side when I was. If it is painful, you should get it checked, it could be a symptom of a problem like ovarian cyts or endometriosis.

Yes, it is fairly common to have a sort of sharp pain over your ovary. It is called "Mittelschnerz"

yes, absolutely....every time i ovulate i can feel it . and it is very painful

I think you dont feel a thing, but it hurts for some people when they are having their period!

Yes.. you swell up everything gets more sensitive.
