i don't see that ever changing, people for the most part in the USA feel they deserve more than they actually do, and do not appreciate what they have, shake it off, you are happier!!! thomas

I am in college and I have the same feeling about most college kids, although I am not in as good of situation as you. My husband and I are very low income, since I cannot work right now, and I am going to school while he supports us. We have to budget and work hard just to make ends meet, but we are perfectly happy. On the other hand, I go to a university where the students complain when they don't get enough student loans to pay for their designer clothes, or their trips to Cancun for spring break. Give me a break! Not all college kids are like this, but the ones that are need to grow up, get their heads out of the clouds, and get a life!

Not all college "kids" are like that. I'm not a kid anymore, (late 20's;) but my husband and I both go to college and working and raising a family. Remember that they are on thier own for the first time and don't know any better. Call the cops, they'll learn soon. I hope you can find a good, affordable place to move to.

Wow! I just turned 20 and i'm a college student also. I guess I can kind of understand because I am living on my own and i'm paying for college also. I typically don't hang around the other college kids because it seems to me they're all in college to party and get drunk and they have everything provided for them by their parents, but I don't I have to work hard to get everything I want and need. It's a little frustrating sometimes. But I kind of understand where you're coming from.

Your accomplishments are pretty remarkable. Im sorry that you're surronded by such ****oles. You're totally normal dearie. You just have to ignore them. I'm 20 and i hate college kids too. They can be soooo stupid at times. They're always complaining abt how life sucks and stuff. Like pull ur head out of ur a** and look at how kids in third world countries are living.

I'm still in college and 19 and living in the dorms (although that's not the plan for next year because I can't stand it), but I agree with you totally. I have similar problems as you have with them, especially with the drunks since my hallway in the dorm is filled with drunks yelling and being general idiots every weekend. I honestly don't understand how kids like that get into college in the first place.

There's no doubt in my mind that you have matured faster than most people your age. Marriage will do that. That's not a bad thing! You guys might want to consider finding a place off campus if it gets to disrupting your lives. I wish you the best in whatever you do.

I'm 22, and believe most people my age to be ignorant little monsters...so you are not alone.
However, on the other hand, I think that about a lot of people, not just college kids...lol!
Here's to us (raises glass for a toast) for not being (insert favourite insult).

They are dumbasses, life is not a party. It is a priveledge. You seem to know that. They don't. Embrace your character. That is something that there mom and dad did not obviously give them. WORK ETHIC. RESPONSIBITLY. My step-daughter is 20. I am 29 and paying for college and her wah wah baby butt. But we have something she doesn't have...character and respect. Good for you at 20.

It's because you are more mature than they are at this point in their lives. And sometimes it can be difficult to have to deal with people who are beneath your level, whether it's maturity, intelligence, etc. It takes a lot of patience.
