I guess there could be ghosts of animals, but you would think that if ghosts of humans usually come about in a way that is bad (murder, betrayal, etc) ghosts of animals would be a lot more prevelant and located everywhere. I guess it's a good thing we don't have millions of white-tailed deer ghosts rampaging through the woods. Thoughts?

Ghosts come about by many means. There are different types of hauntings, just as there are various types of ghosts. There are ghosts that come via murder/war, accidents, natural deaths, and unfinished business.

Just as there are human ghosts there are animal ghosts. They seem to come back for nearly the same reasons that humans do.

Yes, I had a cat as a little girl. He was shot by our neighbor and died in my mother's arms. I have seen him periodically over the years... usually when I needed someone to comfort me. Many other people have seen ghost animals too such as the ghost cat that roams the tunnels under the white house or even the black dog of england.

There are the ghosts of animals. I guess animals are different then humans. Humans let things fester inside. Animals have to learn to take things as it comes. There have been stories of cat and dog apparitions though that I've heard of. Maybe because they are so much more compassionate than other animals...

Actually spirits of animals do remain if they are asked to do so.
The blessing of being an animal, you don't have an agenda.
Most humans are so sad, the "will" the spirit to remain to comfort them.

Spirits and ghost are one in the same. Yet ghosts have unfinished business.

Ghosts are not all evil, yet many good ones can be scary too.
I have witnessed many of them. Not joking, I'm a real minister.

I have seen some ghosts that literally travel in a pattern and do not ever interact with the humans- its a like a tape on rewind, replay over and over.

Children and Animals can literally see and feel these spirits.
Watch them, its amazing- no technical equipment is needed for that one either.

I watched a toddler talking to a deceased "great grandmother" like she was standing next to him. He never knew this woman in life, she passed long before the birth of his mother. So two generations did not know this woman, yet he was calling her by name and asking for things for her. The grandmother was a child when her mother past, so it was a real eye opener, when the child was describing the family dog....that she had when she was that same age...

So never discount the spirit that surrounds us. Often times it is your ancestors here to watch over you. So honor them. I take great comfort knowing that this is not the end and my loved ones are around me. Be it my great grandmother or my pets.

There are animal ghosts, such as DC the ghost cat in the White House, who appears at times of national stress.

I suppose that's where animals show a little more intelligence than man. Their spirits automatically go where their supposed to when they die. Some people (ghosts) choose to stay behind because they have unfinished business Or they just don't want to leave yet!
I had a little dog about 7 years ago that died. She comes to visit every now and then! Usually in the middle of the night I feel her quivering next to me. Scares the daylights out of me till I realize what it is. But yes, Animals definitely have spirits too!

There are animal ghost.

I once moved into a house that came with one. I think it was a big fuzzy black cat, you could see run by, just on the edge of your vision. When It entered the room, it also brought with it a strong smell of summer flowers.

Three years ago I had a cat pass away, and she stayed around for a few weeks. I would feel her walk across my lap, or rub up against my legs.

I did see what appeared to be the ghost of a white buck once. It ran for awhile , then seemed to just vanish. I think maybe projections such as these may just be made by other spirits to confuse and mislead us sometimes

i think its because ghosts are basically our own constructs. We wish for a world of justice and fairness, so we believe murdered people will return for their come-uppances. We wish for a connection to the past, so we believe the spirits of our ancestors are watching over us.

My question is do animals see animal ghosts?
