all Muslims are "Islamofascists"?? Or that armies of angry terrorists are mounting offenses against our shores as we speak?

Radical Muslims are NOT everywhere, and not every radical Muslim is a terrorist. (Are all radical Christians ready to commit murder to "convert" the unbelievers?)

When I speak ofradicalo Christian terrorists, I am not speaking about hundreds of years ago....I am speaking of abortion clinic bombers, physician shooters, people who maim and murder others because of their sexual orientation, etc.
I am as frightened of the people who take every word in the Christian Bible literally as I am of people who take every word of the Koran litterally.
This is NOT to say that I don't believe we have enemies--very dangerous enemies--but we need to keep things in perspective or we will let our own government become our WORST enemy!

Agreed. It's a shame people have stereotypical views of different religions. Not all religions are the same as their extremists counterparts, people need to realize this and have an open mind.

If you are someone who does not have any first hand experience with the Muslim religion and it's teachings.......how are you supposed to know what to believe?
If you ask someone ......everyone has a conflicting story or opinion.
In fact I asked a question regarding the Muslim religion and whether it teaches all Muslims to kill infidels and I got half that told me not to be ridiculous.....and I got half that told me in fact it does!
So what to believe?
Perhaps the masses are trying to assimilate into societies all over the world to get a better life and ........maybe it's more to divide and conquer!?!?
So what to believe?
Maybe Muslims like Al Qaeda feel the rest of you are just not accomplishing the teachings fast enough.....OR maybe they pervert the teachings?!?!
Do you understand now? The biggest problem is the powerful political motivations behind promoting a belief in either aspect towards Muslims.
It can be found in regard to other religions and races even.
Not many trust anyone outside what they were brought up to believe. Or what others have pursuaded them to believe.

Actually in regard to Christianity there is a long embarrasing and dispicable history of leaders committing murder to "convert" the unbelievers. Such as the Crusades!

Intolerance seems to be the biggest problem!
I wish I knew how to "fix" it! It's been a problem as long as the beginning of religion.

You sound just like the deniers before WWII. Radical Muslims need not be everywhere. They just need t be in the right lace at the right time. Since there are 1.2 billion of them they don't all have to be terrorists either. If only one percent were, that would be 12 million. Who do you think are causing all the mayhem allover the world: Bali, London, Madrid, New York, Indonesia, Philippines, Yemen, Ethiopia, Darfour, Afghanistan, etc.... Just because it isn't happening in your village and to your people doesn't mean that it isn't happening to others. Don't be so centric, they are in enough places and hurting enough people and they want more.

Think about this:
Fact 1 - anyone NOT a muslims is in their view "an infidel" not worthy of life.

Fact 2 - Muslim extremism is at the "helm" today in the islamic world and NO islamic gov is speaking out against them strongly, practically meaning they are going along with them.

Fact 3 - Extremist muslims have been at war with us (the west and the US for over a decade now, problem is that prior to 9/11 we here in the US were asleep not aware of the looming battle to come, while in parts of the world the fight was already on (US embassies bombings in Africa, hundreds died there), (the USS Cole bombing in Yemen, an act of WAR against out country and we did nothing!) etc etc etc..!

and finally Fact 4: the American Taliban warning: "convert or else....!" THAT warning in itself should scream at all of you what we are up against...simple!

any questions, think Big Picture and get out of denial!

No.

Depends how you define radical. For me, a radical Muslim is pretty well a terrorist or someone willing to support the later; i.e., somehow willing to force his faith or enforce his faith violently.

A strict muslim who minds his own "shop" is not in my mind radical, if he does not impose his beliefs on others.

Somewhere in there you probably have a point, but since Christianity gave up the concept of jihad centuries ago, it's not a good parallel. No, not all (or even most) are trying to do us active harm, but many in the west would like for you to share with them your method for differentiation. In the meantime, a degree of caution isn't unreasonable.

Radical Christians don't commit murder to convert people anymore. Not since the Middle Ages. In my opinion anyone who will blow themselves up are more than radical, they are nuts.

Honestly though, I'd have to say the term radical Islamic extremists is somewhat redundant. Though Christians have had their bad past, nowdays its no longer, and the Islamics are having their time in the shade of the wicked

I understand that not ALL Muslims are radical. I am NOT racist in any way, but it is only Muslims that are blowing us up...not the Orientals, or Latinos, or blacks, or whites. Only the radical Muslims....but again, not all of them.

Just about as sick as I am of hearing that Bush was behind 9/11.
