Islamic Extremeist are more of a threat to the world than Israel. They are the ones that want free countries to not live in peace.

The situation right there is indeed the largest cause of the middle east problems. In my opinion the UN should never have granted them that land in the first place. But there's 5 million jews living there today and it's not like you can move them all out. I think the only way forward is as many prominent Israeli see it. For both Israel and Palestine to shake hands and live together under one flag in one state. It would be a near to impossible task, but I'm afraid that it's the only way out without one people eliminating the other.

I am not a fan of Israel but I draw the line at terminating any state and it could never be brought in and carried through by any UN council. Remember as well that individuals make up a states and they should never be all tarred with the same brush.

Israel is a danger because it has a strategic location both geographically and in Americas pockets (or perhaps America is in Israels oversized pockets - havent decided yet).
The UN will never touch Israel, condemn them yes, for war crimes against Palistine and aggression against Lebannon and human rights abuses etc... but that is all the UN can ever do, shout upon deaf ears.
The UN incidentaly is also living in Americas pocket, the backside pocket that can cause nuisence but is often ignored.

Israel is not a danger. And the United Nations is a JOKE !!! They won't even try to stop the Darfur Genocide going on right now !!! Iran is the biggest threat right now, not Israel? Why are so many people against Israel? I'm not Jewish and I don't like to hear people always speak bad about the Jewish people, it's very sad !!! Why so much hate? I don't understand :O(

Is Israel the aggressor or the Arabs ? What happened when they gave back the west bank, the Arabs started bombing Israel from there. so surely Israel have the right to defend them self's ? If they had thought of taking over the world they would not be giving land back to the Arabs, after the 6 day war they captured a lot of Egypt, but all those lands were returned when peace was reestablished Its seem to me that the Arabs want to see the end of Israel, not the other way round.

i see allot of u saying the us has Israel in it's pockets but but i don't see any of u saying that Arab states have the UN in it's pockets the French run the UN and they always back the Arab states. in fact the UN condemns Israel in every thing it does but why isn't it condemning Iran Syria or Palestine for paying the family's of terrorist for booming Israel ? and the UN knows better to try to touch Israel while the USA and Britain has her back
EDIT
Buck Flair Palestine has always been Jewish land how can u steal something that was always yours to Begin with? lets review shall we Palestine was formed in 70 ad after the Jewish revolt. the Cesar changed the name to Palestine to punish the Jews.there for the first Palestinian was Jewish so again how could they steal a land that was theirs

Wow, interesting to see the amount of pro-Israel comments here. I wonder if that has anything to do with our pro-Israel media by any chance.
Do you know why there are so many 'terrorist' Islamic groups like Hezbollah etc? Because Israel have been illegally occupying their country (Palestine), with the aid of the US, for decades.
Imagine the UK was taken over by a foreign nation. The people of this nation then bulldozed your homes in order to take more land for themselves. They killed some of your family members and took all the jobs.
You would need to show papers to travel anywhere in the country and if you showed any aggression or dissent towards them, they would beat you viciously.
Well, this is what exactly Israel have done/are doing to the Arabs, although the pro-Israel media will not show you any of this. If it was you, would you not fight back against these occupiers?
But when the arabs do fight back, we call them 'terrorists'. Hezbollah is not a terrorist organization, it is a 'resistance' against the occupation of Palestinian land.
And before you say 'yes but they target civilians'... do not Israel do exactly the same thing?

What a typical left wing remark for your information Israel is a democracy defending itself from terrorists . Yes Israel has made mistakes but its neighbours are fuelled with Anti Semitism and many want to wipe Israel of the map. The Palestinians have had more than one opportunity for a independent state but there leadership have turned them down because there want to bring Israel to its knees. Its scary how gullible the left liberals are in there sympathy to the Palestinian leadership.

The Arab countries do not want peace they want to dominate the world now getting rid of all us infidels (whether you have been supporting them of not), stop blaming Israel who have been trying to achieve peace for 60 years after NOT being pushed into the sea. They have had to defend themselves at every conflicted that they have not started.
With questions like yours there will never be peace.
