Short answer, probably not.
The key to this is whether or not you have the correct license to do this. All software is in some form governed by licenses. Typically, when you purchase consumer software, you get one, meaning that you can only install the software on one computer at a time. If you want to put it on another computer, you typically have to purchase a second license, or remove it from the other computer it was previously installed on. Microsoft has become very interesting with some promotions, so you may have multiple licenses for a single CD (but likely not). Check the package you got with your CD. If there's nothing saying you have multiple licenses, then you probably just have one. Legally (according to Microsoft's EULA agreement), you should only have your copy of Windows installed on one computer at a time.

Windows XP has to be "Activated" online. Product Activation works by verifying that a software program's product key has not been used on more personal computers than intended by the software's license. You must use the product key in order to install the software and then it is transformed into an installation ID number. You use an activation wizard to provide the installation ID number to Microsoft either through a secure transfer over the Internet, or by telephone. A confirmation ID is sent back to your machine to activate your product.
So, essentially as soon as both PC's try to receive Windows Updates Microsoft will realize you are running two copies of Windows XP and will revoke your product Activation.

Problem may arise when you want to update

You can for the first thirty day then you will need to purchase a serial number to register each copy on each computer. Without a valid serial number you won't be able to log in.
Good luck!
