Not all animes are porn. There are only three or four genres of anime that exhibited porn from mild to the most extreme. Four out of more than 20 kinds of anime genres. (you can see the most common genres in wikipedia or in any anime site..search it up)

There are porn mangas that are made into animes. For the people around, they call it porn but for the mangakas, these works of art are more than porn. They are masterpiece that longed to seek acceptance from the society. However, because it is not suitable for all ages, people are attacking these, mangas and animes alike with criticisms.We must admit though because of its adult content, people would commonly generalize that all animes are like that which is definitely not true.

Anime is DEFINITELY NOT A CARTOON!!! IT IS AN ANIMATION THAT STANDS ON ITS OWN, an artwork that draws from the most real human emotions and values, an infamous product of ingenuity, a lifestyle, a new culture that is yet to be recognize by the whole world.

No, Im not. Beacuse im an anime fan. I get many "Aren't you too old to be watching cartoons?" or "Thats for child". When i get this message, I usually challange them to watch with me, and i give them my fav anime (usually The Melachily of Haruhi Suzumiya or Air or some other complicated anime) then ask them "Is this for child? Can you understand the story?" or "What is the main story or conclusion of that anime?" Then they usually just silent or say "You're right, this is not for child"
Anime is not like US cartoon, anime is not Japanese porn.
Well, I like anime and will continue like that whatever other people said.

personaly i like anime but not the kiddy garbage ones. Most people are too old to watch crap like Yugiho those are the ones i insult. I though Inuyasha was a god show and YuYu Hakusho was good up untill the dark tournament (that made me so mad). and Akira is a great movie (as you can tell i dont watch much but i do some.) and as for Hentai that just makes me laugh and gives me nightmeres (i once saw a episode of la blue girl and was scarred for life) Hentai just makes me laugh because people like to watch cartoons have sex. kinda funny if you think about it.

I am a hardcore otaku, so I do a bit more than get angry when people say that. My initial reaction is to tell them it's anime and not "cartoons". Then I usualy either bash 'em with my Akatsuki Headband, or wail on 'em with my state alchemist watch. The one thing more annoying is when people think they have to remind me that I'm not Japanese, or in rare cases, Chinese.

I am 30 and I watch what I want. I generally only talk about anime who are aware of it and watch it also.

Naw, not really. The stuff that i am tired of people are saying are "what episode number is this", "will hinata hook up with Naruto", or the ever annoying answer to people who are looking for certain animes..."youtube.com".

I told my girlfriend I was watching anime once and she was offended and said something like " Oh those gross gory cartoons with all the naked women with huge breasts"...

Me: "ummm...not exactly"

I tried explaining to her that not all anime fits that description...

...not sure but I think she thinks im a horny dork now...heh. maybe i am a little.
