Humankind is a better term. Not that I'm all feminist or anything..

if he were male and kind I guess he could be a kind man, but you gt it bassackwards.

The term "mankind" and "kind" are not related. A person that does good can be described as kind. That person doesn't necessarily have to be a man, it could be a woman. Mankind describes both women and men, whether they be kind, cruel, or indifferent.

That's a tough one

it seems the masses think it's pronounced mank ind for some reason or other .

I suppose that's why people don't get it
