I'm 22 weeks pregnant with my second son btw. I don't remember getting it with last one. It's like someone has splodged me with the tip of a paint brush in red. Weird. Any ideas? It's just come up in the last few days. Seems to be fading though. I'm guessing there would be about 20 dots.

It may be a broken capillary from stretching, it may just be the body reacting to hormones, it may be from a lot of things. Are the bumps raised? Did you sweat in your bra while asleep last night. If you were laying on that side and you sweated in your sleep, it may be a spot of heat rash, it would be not really sore, just a little uncomfortable. If they are raised and only slightly redder than your areola, they may be Montgomery's Tubercules and are nothing to worry about. If they itch or do not leave inside of a week, call the doctor. If they are just spots and not raised, itchy or anything else, they are most likely just from a broken capillary (a teeny tiny blood vessel that feeds a handful of cells). If you have had a strong reaction to the hormones, it could be just that, a continues reaction but that is usually all over the body and seems to come and go. I hope some of this has helped you.

Sounds like my spots. lol. Mine started off as just a few cute little spots on my belly and back. Then they i got a bunch of spots. like they doubled every week till i because 6 months. I'm having a boy and it's my first baby so i was shocked when i got my spots because of him .lol. the spots are perfectly harmless. it's basically just your body reacting to the hormones that your baby is putting out. It'll fade alittle over a short time period but you can still see them. they will go away after you have your baby. I can't remember what it's called when you get spots while pregnant. if you want the proper term for your spots ask your ob/gyn. But if you are really worried and think it's a type of rash go see your doctor to make sure it's not a rash. also since you may just have spots like me. Keep your spots lotioned cause at one point and time they will feel alittle dry and need the extra moisture. the aveeno lotion is very good with dry pregnancy spots. Good luck and take care.
