In a couple of months, the exact schedule will be laid out on NFL.com. The teams know who they play next year. However, those teams only know who they play at home or away, not in which order the games are scheduled right now. Once the NFL determines the outline of the 07 season, they will release the schedule (which should include a regular season game in England of all places).

The new NFL schedule is partially done already. The teams that each team is playing has already been determined and is out on the internet.
The exact dates and times will not be out until the summer, a month or two ahead of ticket sales so as to allow for good PR.

The schedule fot the NFL for next season has been determined already in that each team knows who they are going to play. They just have not released the dates yet.
