lemme see. liberals think that phone conversations with al-queda members is protected in the constitution. they think that an american caught on the battlefield in afghanistan shooting at the United states armed forces is protected. these are the constitutional rights they beleive in.
However. lets look at reality.
they are silent when the right to smoke is taken. silent when the right to own a gun is abridged. they are silent when liberals actually change the words of the constitution to mean they can take private land for public "use" rather than "purpose". they are silent when california liberals propose a law making it illegal for them to spank their kids. they are silent when liberal judges say the constitution is a living document that any 5 judges can make it mean whatever they want.
im a little tired of the hypocracy of the liberal.
the next time they talk about caring about the constitution silence them with a punch in the mouth.
and thats a memo

wyldfag? the right to smoke is there with every other right. its legal. therefore u should have the right to do it the same way u would want the right to read, drive, play hopscotch. if u dont like a legal action, then the voters should make it illegal. understand? wow, u make some really silly arguments, u need to understand the constitution is not just about protecting your right to bad mouth your country and watch kiddie porn on the interenet which is what liberals like u believe.

Hot damn, Ishmael...call 'em like you see 'em!
I can't say I'm on board with the punch in the mouth...
But a *few* just might deserve a nice roundhouse upside the head...just seems it would be more satisfying for the giver, no?
arus - with all due respect, what about the rights of a bar or restaurant owner? Why don't *they* have the right to determine if their clientele should be allowed to smoke?
I've seen what "compassionate" liberals do to people who piss them off. A local trapper has been harassed - to the point of calling the FBI - by animal rights idiots. Did he break any laws? No - but did that stop the death threats? No.
A guy I went to high school with is a professional dog musher. Not only does *he* get hate mail, but so does his sister - just for supporting her brother. Only someone who has *no* clue about dog mushing would ever call it cruel - but some people decide that it is, and that makes it okay to threaten to KILL people?!?
NOT that I'm saying the right isn't without it's share of extremist nutjobs, but really - what rights have you, personally, lost? Liberals are a much greater threat to law-abiding American's rights than conservatives are. I work in a place where I am highly discouraged from saying the word "Christmas" - we have to call it a "holiday" tree. I even had a memo that called it "Wintermas"! What the hell is "Wintermas"?
Look at what the ACLU did to public schools in NY - it's okay to display a Jewish Menorah, or a Muslim Star and Crescent - RELIGIOUS SYMBOLS - but you can't display a Nativity scene. How is that *not* an infringement on freedom of religion?

Just where does the Constitution give you the right to smoke? Maybe you should actually READ the Constitution before you start asking such idiotic questions. The Constitution gives the Supreme Court the duty to interpret the Constitution. I can tell that you really believe in the first amendment by advocating violence against someone who actually practices their first amendment rights.

The first thing that should be dealt with is the illegal unconstitutional 16th amendment!!!
That was orchestrated by right-wing Conservative Bankers in the early 1900's.
Not too many liberals are really jazzed about the Eminent Domain laws that were legislated under the BUSH administration!
Not every liberal is silent about the spanking bill....ridiculous!
Half of the reason we have all of the teenage crime we have is because parents have had their hands tied in regard to discipline!
It seems like the extremes are always used to justify all behavior!
But be careful! If you hit me first ...I will hit you back!
P.S. That is why we think you want to impose your beliefs on all of us....just because YOU feel it doesn't mean I HAVE to....the constitution says I don't!

I see you can hear the truth & not the lies being told by the Democrats. Smoking has been banned in several major cities.
I do not smoke but the courts did not rule - city councils & state legislatures & Nany Pelosi. The private land laws have gotten way out of hand, recently they took (paid for but owner did not want to sell) land in my state to build a shopping center - it was supposedly for the greater good. The spanking law has not been passed yet, but it is dangerous for goverment to even think they can judge parenting skills. It was never about abuse but just what is the correct way to parent (by the way I have 3 adult children that I never spanked - my choice). I agree on Supreme Court, they have taken to making law in the last 30 years. Their job is to interrupt laws not make them.

Sometimes you have to spill a little Constitutional milk to make the American pie. Just kidding. How does that saying go? Something about when good men do nothing . . .? But don't just go picking on liberal hypocrites. Hypocrisy is an equal-opportunity flaw.

I dont understand. What liberties and rights have been taken away?
You can still smoke...just not in certain places (good)
You can still drink...you just can't drive, walk or do it in public (good)
YOu can still fly anywhere you want in this nation.
YOu can still own a gun, and its a good idea to make sure access to deadly weapons are monitored and are granted to those who have shown they are able to use them properly.
AGain, you state that rights are being taken away...yet they are as strong as they are when the amendments were passed.
